Madinah Ziyarat Taxi Guide (2026)

Exploring the sacred sites of Madinah like Madinah Ziyarat is a highlight for every visitor. While some sites are within walking distance of Masjid an-Nabawi, most historical landmarks require a 15–20 minute drive. A private Ziyarat taxi is the most popular way to see these sites comfortably in a single morning or afternoon.

1. Top Ziyarat Sites Included

A standard Ziyarat tour usually takes 3 to 4 hours and covers:

  • Masjid Quba: The first mosque in Islam (performing two rak’ahs here is equivalent to an Umrah).
  • Mount Uhud & Martyrs’ Cemetery: The site of the historic Battle of Uhud.
  • Masjid al-Qiblatain: Where the Qibla was changed from Jerusalem to Makkah.
  • Saba Masajid (The Seven Mosques): Located at the site of the Battle of the Trench.
  • Salman Farsi Date Farm: A beautiful garden with deep historical roots.

2. Ziyarat Taxi Rates (2026 Estimates)

Prices are usually fixed for the entire “tour” rather than metered.

| Vehicle Type | Estimated Rate (Total Tour) | Capacity |

| :— | :— | :— |

| Standard Sedan (Camry/Sonata) | SAR 200 – SAR 250 | 4 Passengers |

| Family Minivan (Hyundai Staria/H1) | SAR 300 – SAR 400 | 7 Passengers |

| Large Van (Toyota HiAce) | SAR 400 – SAR 500 | 10–12 Passengers |

| Wadi-e-Jin Add-on | + SAR 100 | Extra 1.5 Hours |

Note: Many travelers choose to add Wadi-e-Jin (The Valley of Jin) to their itinerary. This is located further out (about 30km from the city), so expect to pay an additional SAR 100 for the extra distance and time.

3. How to Book

  • Saudia Taxi Service: You can pre-book a dedicated Ziyarat driver via WhatsApp or their website. This ensures a professional driver who knows the history of each location.
  • Hotel Pickups: Most hotels in the Markaziya area (near the Prophet’s Mosque) have taxi stands where drivers offer Ziyarat tours starting after Fajr or Ishraq prayers.
  • Mobile Apps: You can use Kaiian or Uber for individual trips, but for a full tour, a private booking with Saudia Taxi Service is more cost-effective as the driver will wait for you at every stop.

Pro-Tip for Pilgrims

The best time for Ziyarat is early morning (7:00 AM – 10:00 AM). The weather is cooler, and you will finish in time to return to Masjid an-Nabawi for Dhuhr prayer. Always confirm with your driver that “waiting time” is included in the initial price quote.
